Prayer Update - September 2021

We praise God for our family and friends who keep praying. That is a great source of encouragement to us. School has started. With Medina Christian Academy having 300 elementary students in our building it seems things are always rocking.

Here is some of what's going on:

1) First Medina is in a season of prayer and fasting as a church called AWAKEN. We're asking God to use His people to show His love in our community. 2) Tammy has been an unexpected long-term sub in first grade.

3) Andy and Cora have started their new ministry in Pinckney, MI, and have accepted an offer on their home in Minnesota.

4) Dan hit the ground running for his last year at Cedarville. He loves his friends, his studies, and his church.

Praises

Kurt - 1) We have a great team of volunteers who are taking ownership for our ministries at First. 2) We love our neighborhood (and our neighbors!). 3) Many people at First are praying for people in our community that God wants them to encourage.

Tammy - I am enjoying walks through our neighborhood, serving in LifeKids at First, and starting to feel settled.

Andy - 1) I'm loving the new job and church! 2) We had a great fall launch with our students. 3) We have solid temporary housing in Pinckney while we look for a place to live.

Cora - 1) Adjusting to Pinckney is going well! We feel very cared for and provided for by the people around us and are so grateful for that! 2) Quiet time for me lately has been really cool and God has been teaching me in unique ways. 3) Also, I graduate in October!

Dan - 1) COVID cases on campus are down from 400 to 10. 2) It currently looks like I'll be able to do my internship next semester at my church in Ohio. 3) I have had a lot of amazing time with friends, without getting behind in school. = P

Requests

Kurt - Please pray that we diligently seek God throughout AWAKEN and beyond, and that He glorifies His Name in us.

Tammy - I want to meet more neighbors. Finding local doctors is more difficult than I thought. I am seeking God and trusting His results with AWAKEN.

Andy - Pray for wisdom and strength as I've been thrown into the whirlwind of a new ministry season. Also, that Cora and I continue to find solid community here at Peoples.

Cora - For God to provide a job for me after I graduate. Not knowing can be anxious.

Dan - A consistent sleep schedule has been the price of keeping up with school and friends. Prayers for discipline in getting the rest I need. Also, please pray that I would be able to do my internship at Heritage Fellowship Church.
